Dear West Side Congregation and friends:
As we begin a new week, the leadership team decided to meet and we discussed the best approach in returning to “in-person” activities. There is great concern for each member, attender, and guest to not only experience God in a real, personal way, but to also to do our best to provide the safest environment possible. Our thoughts are guided by the command Jesus gave us in Matthew 22:39, “And the second (command) is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
With this in mind, we are strongly encouraging and asking everyone to wear a mask while on campus. We will also continue to have hand sanitizing areas, as well as, encourage proper social distancing. As a reminder, if you have symptoms of being sick, please stay home. If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for the virus, please stay home. As we try to foster a safe, clean environment, please realize we cannot guarantee that you will not catch the virus at church… just like a restaurant, grocery store, or doctor’s office cannot guarantee to keep you 100% safe. So, if you cannot attend “in person” activities or worship because of this, we totally understand. We will continue to pray that the vaccine is distributed and helps all who receive it.
As for scheduling, we will return to “in-person” Sunday Worship service only, the 10:30 service, this Sunday, February 21st and February 28th. Only Children’s Church and the Sonshine boys will have classes at this time. There will be no nursery, toddler, or pre-school ministries for these two weeks
For those who have remained faithful in giving… THANK YOU! Your faithfulness has allowed us to continue ministering the Word, in all the ways possible, during these times where we needed to be flexible.
Please continue to pray for those who are recuperating… that they would return to full health. Also pray for those who have recently lost loved ones… that during this time, we as the hands and feet of Jesus will show the comfort and love that they need. Pray for safety for those who have yet to catch the virus.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to one of the deacons: Pete Fisher (Chairman), Dalton Shull (Vice-Chairman), Craig Burgess, Rick Boan, and (or) Brian Nanney.
