SEE THE POWER OF AGREEMENT

Read Acts 6:1-7
“So the preaching about God flourished, the number of the
disciples in Jerusalem multiplied greatly, and a large group
of priests became obedient to the faith”. Acts 6:7 (HCSB)

Some churches avoid voting on issues of importance in the church
because they believe votes divide people and give opportunities for
church problems to occur. These people do have plenty of evidence to
back up their practice. Many church splits have happened because half
of the congregation wanted to go one direction while the other half
wanted to go another.

In Acts 6:1-7 there was a different mindset toward congregational
decisions and outcomes. The church needed help with its ministry to the
widows of the congregation. A solution was proposed by the leadership
and the proposal found favor with the congregation (6:5). The result was
a unified church that continued to reach out with the gospel and make
more disciples for Christ.

How can you aid in congregational agreement regarding upcoming
decisions in your church?

PRAYER:
Please pray that God will give wisdom to your church
leaders regarding a plan for church revitalization and that
their plan will find favor in the congregation
