West Side Baptist Church was established in 1945. Beginning in the home of the Joyners, to the first church service with over 50 charter members, West Side Baptist Church ‘hit the ground running’. As the church began to grow, God blessed and allowed the construction of just the right buildings to meet the needs of the growth that was happening. Our current campus includes our sanctuary, education building, children’s building, youth building and family life center with gymnasium.
West Side supports local and world missions through the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program and Lexington Baptist Association. Mission efforts include sacrificial mission offerings as well as opportunities to serve our local community through home mission efforts as well as foreign ones.
